We spent the last few days with friends in South Carolina. Saturday evening we went to a livestock auction. We have been several times before, but this time Hubby said he wanted to bring something home!
We have plenty of chickens, we can't get a goat in the city, and we don't really have enough room for guineas or ducks... so we ended up with a baby bunny!
You never know what you're getting at a livestock auction, but the mother and all five of her babies looked healthy, clean and active. We are not sure if it's a male or female, nor are we sure exactly how old it is - maybe about four weeks?

We scrubbed down the chick brooder Hubby recently built and added vinyl floor tiles underneath the shavings. Add some water, rabbit pellets and hay, and it became a great rabbit hutch!
Hubby, a Star Wars fan, wanted to name it Ewok, but my youngest didn't like that. We ended up calling it Foo Foo, as in Little Bunny Foo Foo - the nursery rhyme. My friend Nancy had never heard of Little Bunny Foo (which I found shocking!), so I scrounged up this video to educate those of you who may not know of Foo Foo.

And here is the real Foo Foo:
Isn't she cute?
